This journal is for me to record my spells, rituals, meditations and general thoughts on spirituality. I am a pantheist witch and have recently been experimenting with using cookery, herbcraft, incense making, beading, sewing and other crafty things for magical purposes (hence the user name). I've tried keeping a magical diary (a book of shadows, if you like) on paper, but I just can't ever seem to keep it up. I often end up typing my spells up onto my computer if I'm in a hurry afterwards (because I'm quicker at typing than writing) with the intention to record them in the book and then never get round to it. Anyway, that's what this journal is about, a place to record the many steps in my spiritual journey, and a reference for me (and others?) to use. So, that's me and that's the point of this journal. I do have a main journal (I'm not going to link to it, I want to keep them separate for now) so this won't be the place for mundane updates about my life. Add me if you're interested and I'm sure I'll add you back if you seem like a interesting person yourself.
A little bit about names:
As I said before I'm not going to link to my main journal, so I won't be disclosing my real name or infact any of my nicknames. I don't have a craft name either. Up until now I haven't really given anyone who reads this journal or whose community I joined a name to call me by, but I've decided it might be a good idea. So, if you like, you can call me Yarrow. It's not a craft name, there's not any story behind it, but I do use the herb yarrow quite a bit and it's a nice sounding word. So yeah, call me Yarrow. I'm actually starting to like it now....
